Hallelujah for the Lord who intervened to provide a loving home, filled with care and affection, for both dogs. It warms our hearts to know that they were rescued and placed together in a forever home where they will be cherished. ❤️ Congratulations to these sweet pups and their new family! The look of despair in the eyes of Kala and Keira, two inseparable companions at the shelter, was haunting as they faced an uncertain fate and sought solace in each other’s presence. Thankfully, a miracle occurred just in time. Despite their close bond and good health, the two dogs faced the grim reality of being euthanized at the shelter due to lack of adoption prospects. Their days were numbered… Unable to bear the thought of these precious pups being put down, the compassionate staff at the Etowah County Humane Society made a final effort to save Kala and Keira by sharing their story on social media in hopes of finding them a loving home.
And here we have it, a touching image of two dogs embracing each other in a moment of need! Luckily, this heartwarming photo led to the rescue of two shelter dogs just in time. In less than two hours after their story was shared, a kind man spotted the image on the rescue team’s social media page and offered to foster the dogs until a forever home could be found. Without hesitation, he contacted the rescue and let them know he was on his way to pick up the furry duo. Fast forward to October, and the two dogs have finally found their happily ever after with a new family. What’s even more heartening is that they get to stay together; the two inseparable companions will not be torn apart. Pam Cody and Wendy Newman, who were once pet owners themselves, decided to open their hearts and home to abandoned pets after their own beloved pets passed away.
They made the decision to welcome Kala and Kiera into their family when they discovered that the two pups were still searching for their forever home. Sometimes, a simple gesture or a photograph can make a huge difference in someone’s life. Always keep believing in miracles! It is heartwarming to see these adorable pups being adopted, especially together. A big thank you to the family who opened their hearts and gave them a second chance at a happy life.
